Leaf Peeping on the Blue Ridge

A Sunday drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway to check out the leaves.  Things are just starting to get going.  In another week or so there should be a lot more color.

Lunch at a new-found restaurant in a refurbished Mid-Century building.

Then some very sad news.  I was contacted by several court reporters that Justice Hines had died at 3:00 in a one-car accident.  He was on his way home from his granddaughter's piano recital when his car flipped killing him and injuring his wife Helen.  I worked with Justice Hines for 18 years before he went to the Supreme Court of Georgia, he had just retired in August.  This was very sad and shocking news.  We just never know when our time is up.  He was only 75 years old.
