Autumn Touches

Inside, added some fall colors through crochet doilies and afghans.

Changed out some lighting by bringing out the "ugly" holiday lamps that I like because I use flicker bulbs giving a warm glow, but found this gorgeous heavy woven rattan/wicker shade and would have given anything for a pair.  Makes my ugly light look so much better!

Outside, the white beauty berries are so pretty this year. The birds love them, and I found a volunteer that will be transplanted down at the farmhouse.

                                                   Wine colored zinnias
Pale blue ageratum

                                                          Violet Obedient Plant

Tithonias and Timber in the pasture
Looking out the kitchen window, maybe once spring planting is finished I will get to sit in this chair and take in the view!

A Fresh Door

I was invited by Bob to go to Greenville to hear Dacre Stoker, the great grand-nephew of  Bram Stoker, author of Dracula, to speak for two hours.  I decided I'd rather paint the bedroom door, (lol), but first to take down the cobwebs, but not until I got a few photos because in the sunlight they were really pretty!

These iron cattail doors was one of the reasons I wanted to buy this house.  I love the shadows they cast on the walls, they are so heavy and someone put a lot of work into making these.

                            Before . . . dirty, chippy, moldy.
After . . . bright, clean and white!!
