Pre-Thanksgiving

The annual day in Asheville before Thanksgiving to pick up the turkey and look at the Christmas decorations.

Anthropologie never disappoints, and there were some really beautiful clothes this year, too.

Lunch at Mela, our favorite Indian restaurant, buffet on Sunday.

Me: Basmati, saag, aloo, pakoras and chutney.

Bob:  Basmati, Chicken Tikka Masala and veggies.

The bartender complimented my metal straw, but I have been carrying my own straw around for decades, as well as my canvas shopping bags and recycling and composting everything with no trash collection for 35 years long before it was cool.  Can't imagine how much money I have saved in trash collection!

My nephew Dave's kind of soup!  Beer City USA!

Local bread for stuffing.  Baking and prepping today. Tomorrow morning we will be at the Blessing of the Hounds, then to the boathouse to open it up for guests coming for the weekend from Colorado Springs.  Happy Thanksgiving!

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SINK!

Gorgeous leaded glass windows throughout with views to match.

Bob salivating over these paintings with afghan in hand!

Local color, one strange dude.

Can picture a Thanksgiving dinner in this dining room.  AND I was not the only person to bring a camera to an estate sale!

The goods! Going back for seconds tomorrow, half price at noon!
