Pumpkin Heaven

Friday afternoon at the Asheville Farmer's Market

Every pumpkin, squash and gourd known to man, I really was in pumpkin heaven!

Lunch at the Moose Cafe

Another weekend, another goat show.  This one was two days, but closer to home, 12 gallons of free milk! I was told to go to the State Fair in two weeks, hundreds of milking goats, but I think I'll pass.  I like the smaller shows and there will be more come spring.

Working hard to save this guy we are calling Boss Man in Bossier City, Louisiana.  Looks like we're going to have to pull a PETA.  Hope we have better news next week.
Three blues showed up in an NC shelter and we got them all saved with a rescue in CT!!  Hercules reminds me of my Lord Roman when he was a youngster. I REALLY like this guy!

IT'S FINALLY FALL!

Leaves are falling, humidity is down, I feel like I can go outside again!

Found a spot by the river where I am collecting black eyed susans for my garden.

Favorite fall dish, granny smith apples, potatoes, onions all sliced very thin with layers of jarlsberg in between then baked.  YUM!

No hurricane this year, so the goat show was ON yesterday!!  Less milking goats this year and I came a little late when I stopped on the way at IKEA, but still came home with 9 gallons of free milk and got to see Debra!

Looks like when I brush out Roman!

No, this is not a goat!  This is an African steer named Zeke.

Debra petting Charlie the camel.

Debra eating a dill pickle corn dog.  No, I will not eat that, nasty!!  lol

Latest in rescue:  CHOWDER, 12 years old, is now out of an NC shelter and on Long Island with my friends Virginia and Augie!

He loves his new home.

This is 13 year old JASMINE, now GIGI from a Gulfport, MS shelter.  George went and got her and took her home.  She is now on her way to Karen in Atlanta!

The shelter shaved her, but she's still the same dog, a feisty old lady!
Meeting Karen.
