While Bob was in neat old bookstores, I was at the Colonial Park Cemetery. I love the cemeteries, so quiet and historic, it really takes you back in time.
Lots of ferns
Lots of Spanish Moss
Then I wandered the streets just gazing at all the wonderful homes. Some like this one, really reminded me of the French Quarter, all the pretty ironwork.
We only stayed in Savannah two days. If we had spent the whole time there, we would have loved to go to the museums. This one houses The Bird Girl from the Bonaventure Cemetery which I did not have time to go to and became famous in the novel Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. It became so popular, it was moved from the cemetery to the museum.
These homes might be my favorite.
Savannah was so awesome, we want to go back and really spend some time there, but in the winter!! On our way to Amelia Island and the beach for the next few days.
