Inside, added some fall colors through crochet doilies and afghans. Changed out some lighting by bringing out the "ugly" holiday lamps that I like because I use flicker bulbs giving a warm glow, but found this gorgeous heavy woven rattan/wicker shade and would have given anything for a pair. Makes my ugly light look so much better! Outside, the white beauty berries are so pretty this year. The birds love them, and I found a volunteer that will be transplanted down at the farmhouse. Violet Obedient Plant Tithonias and Timber in the pasture Looking out the kitchen window, maybe once spring planting is finished I will get to sit in this chair and take in the view!
I was invited by Bob to go to Greenville to hear Dacre Stoker, the great grand-nephew of Bram Stoker, author of Dracula, to speak for two hours. I decided I'd rather paint the bedroom door, (lol), but first to take down the cobwebs, but not until I got a few photos because in the sunlight they were really pretty! These iron cattail doors was one of the reasons I wanted to buy this house. I love the shadows they cast on the walls, they are so heavy and someone put a lot of work into making these. Before . . . dirty, chippy, moldy. After . . . bright, clean and white!!
